CTC Case Study: Assets Not burdens
The Centre For Theology and Community report “Assets not burdens; using church property to accelerate mission” offers valuable insights into how churches in the London Borough of Islington can better utilise their buildings. Church buildings can be empty up to 75% of the time, and for every £1 currently being earned, a further £2.85pa could be generated. A social enterprise leveraging collective resources and expertise could help churches to transforming underutilised spaces into vibrant centers of community life, just as ARK has done.
