Projects
Over the past seven years we’ve worked with other churches, charities and socially minded organisation to set up creative spaces that reach out to the local community, generate income sustainably, and serve the church.

King’s Cross Church
In 2016 we helped KXC restore a dilapidated victorian apartment block, turning it into a coworking space serving the small business community of King’s Cross.
ARK Coworking played a pivotal role in enabling the church to host midweek small groups, establish a staff office, and facilitate the live streaming of Sunday services during the pandemic.
All Saints Parish
In 2022 we worked with All Saints Church to renovate their church hall into a home for ARK coworking in King’s Cross, having previously been rented out to an entertainment business.
In June ’22 the hall was relicensed as a public place of worship, and in 2023/24 the parish aims to regather for Sunday services in their building again.
St Saviour’s Church
In 2021, we teamed up with St Saviour’s, Finsbury Park, on a journey of restoring and regenerating their Hall for the community in Finsbury Park - creating a space that builds genuine community, supports creativity and highlights local artists, ARK studios. The hall has a rich history, but has sat unused for a period of almost 20 years.
ARK have worked with the church on a phased restoration of the hall, starting with a pop-up coffee bar and gallery space. Alongside meeting residents, we conducted a feasibility audit, put together a business plan, and began fundraising for the building repairs.
Our shared vision is to bring the hall back into life as an artist and marker studio space that builds community and showcases creativity in Finsbury Park. The hall will eventually support the church’s programme for young kids and youth on a Sunday, as well as other mid-week activities throughout the week.
Church Crawley
In 2019 we began working with St John’s Crawley to explore a new 20,000 sq ft property in Queens Square. The project involved exploring a new space for Sunday services, and, in partnership with Crawley Council, a new working space for up to 100 businesses and individuals.
We performed market research, developed a business plan, and working with architects, developed concept designs for the space which eventually lead to their bid with the council for the space.
St Clement Eastcheap
We helped St Clement Eachcheap, part of the Lombard Churches in Bank, perform an initial feasibility study of their church site as an office and coworking space. This included a market assessment, concept designs and floor plans, and financial modelling.
